Position: Human Resources Manager (Manufacturing) (Bilingual)
Overview

Human Resources Manager - Manufacturing at Richelieu Foods, Inc., a Freiberger Group Company, is a leading supplier of high-quality food products to the private label and food service industries. The company has two manufacturing centers that produce frozen & deli pizza, and pizza crusts. The role is based at the Wheeling, IL manufacturing plant and reports to the Director, HR, Manufacturing, with significant exposure to Richelieu Senior Leadership Team.

The HR Manager will be comfortable driving transformation while reinforcing a culture of support and development, and will provide leadership and tactical support in employee relations, organizational design, talent management, compensation, benefits, legal compliance, policy and procedure development, as well as strategic planning that advances Richelieu’s mission, values, and vision.

Essential Functions
  • Serves as a member of the Manufacturing Plant Leadership Team, partnering with functional leaders to drive business performance results and a performance-driven culture.
  • Manages plant recruitment for all exempt, non-exempt, and hourly employees and manages our temp vendor relationships.
  • Leads key HR initiatives in support of the organization including workforce planning, leadership development, process improvement, and compliance.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations pertaining to all personnel matters. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and trends related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance and manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization’s business goals.
  • Assists in the annual review, preparation and administration of wage and salary programs.
Essential

Skills And Abilities
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, compensation, performance management, and employment law.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, encouraging and building mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.

Education / Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, required
  • MA Human Resources or related advanced Degree, desired
  • PHR/SHRM-CP Certification desired
Experience
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment, required
  • Experience resolving complex employee relations issues, required
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish, preferred
  • Experience with Paycom HRIS system, desired
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $115,000 to $125,000 and is based on experience, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. The role is eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; pre-tax spending accounts; retirement benefits; paid time off; 401(k) with company match; short-term and long-term disability; and life insurance.
