PositionEngineering Co-op supports Engineering in implementing lean manufacturing processes and quality management system activities. The role includes performing visual and dimensional inspections, reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards, and interacting with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Materials departments. The incumbent will assist in establishing work measurement standards and contribute to quality, safety, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Key Job Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To- Creating Standard Work Instructions for production and safety initiatives using Sequence software
- Creating Inspection Plans for machining using High QA software
- Updating Machining job set-up sheets
- Gage Inventory Management
- Development of models in Solid Works and 3D printing
- Assist in immediate containment and countermeasures to supplier and customer quality complaints
- Conducting Gauge R&R and capability studies
- Assists in new equipment integration and new process documentation
- Tool and fixture design

Skills And Abilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and lead a team
- Analytical problem solving and solution implementation
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of blueprint reading
- Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, tooling, fixturing and materials
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Continued education in a 4-year degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
