Join our team at sg360 and take the first step toward a rewarding career!We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our Digital department as a Bindery Operator. Our Company is seeking a Bindery Operator for 1st shift (6am to 2pm). The Bindery Operator must be able to set up and operate commercial print bindery equipment used in the Bindery/Finishing department to include: folder, cutter, stitcher, trimming, and binding machines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Machine set up and operation, runs all binder equipment: cutter, folder, and stitcher.
- Troubleshoots problems to maintain quality standards and to keep binding line equipment in running condition - request maintenance as required.
- Trim equipment to assist bindery/cutter operator; load or offload materials at cutter and drills.
- Examines product frequently to ensure that it meets customer quality specifications; constantly monitor quality of finished product.
- Load, operate, and offload shrink-wrap or strapping equipment; uses pallet jacks to move stock from one work station to another; as needed, assist with set up.
- Cleans, lubricates, and maintains assigned machine to ensure its optimum operation.
- Assist with housekeeping in the bindery area.
- Be thoroughly familiar with and follow the requirements of documented process as defined in the SOP.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in setting up and running: cutter, folder, stitcher.
- Commercial printing environment preferred.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- High energy level, enjoy hands-on work
- Excellent attention to detail
- Full motion/motor skills in all body parts.
- Ability to stand or walk for entire shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
