This position is responsible to do a variety of functions in the department including manually loading and unloading parts into rotating machinery, using basic math skills, and inspecting parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment.

• Perform finishing activities with the use of grinding tools; sharpen corners or edges, buff down surfaces, polish for brighter finish.
• fine-tune finished piece processing with the use of knives, cutting tools, hand sanders, and other manual equipment.
• Maintain count of machined parts and clean, wash or tumble parts as required.
• Operate a grit / sand blasting machine (we will train).
• Follow all safety guidelines as stated by Vantedge Medical.
• Read and understand standard operating procedure instructions (we will train).

• High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent (GED).
• Cooperative, team-focused attitude.
• Ability and willingness to cross-train in a variety of jobs in the Secondary Department.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to manually load/unload parts into rotating machinery.
• Basic math skills (to count parts).
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand/walk throughout the day for entire shift.
• Ability to read English and follow standard operating procedure instructions.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints (preferred).
• Communicate / train others when needed.
• Ability to inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.).
