Machine Operator; 3rd Shift

Abbott Interfast, a leading fastener manufacturer and supplier with a commitment to quality and innovation, is seeking a dedicated Tapping Machine Operator to join our team in Wheeling, Illinois
. This Machine Operator will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and safely to meet production schedules. Ideal candidates will have experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality products.

• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of production output to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and machine performance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Assist in training new operators on machinery and procedures.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Tapping Machine experience is NOT required; training to operate this type of machine will be provided.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be a United States citizen.

• $21 to $24 per hour, based on experience.
• The position is for 3rd Shift (11:30pm-7:30am for 5 days a week OR 4 days a week for 10 hours)
