Overview
Water and Sewer Laborer opportunity at Capps Plumbing & Sewer, Inc. in Wheeling, IL. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.
ScheduleMonday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Your RoleAs a Water and Sewer Laborer, you will meet your team each morning and work with a small crew at residential and commercial job sites. You will: excavate for sewer and water lines; ensure safety in trenches or confined spaces; maintain essential equipment; use tools such as jackhammers and concrete saws; and handle materials like PVC and cast iron, while following safety and OSHA compliance procedures.
Responsibilities- Excavate for sewer and water lines
- Ensure safety in trenches or confined spaces
- Operate tools (jackhammers, concrete saws) and handle materials (PVC, ductile iron, cast iron)
- Follow strict safety and OSHA procedures
- 3+ years of sewer and water experience
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with shoring tools and maintaining safe job sites
- Knowledge of trade materials like PVC, ductile iron, and cast iron
- 7+ years of experience in sewer and water
- OSHA certification(s)
- CDL license
