Water and Wastewater Laborer - Sewer Tech

Overview

Water and Sewer Laborer opportunity at Capps Plumbing & Sewer, Inc. in Wheeling, IL. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

As a Water and Sewer Laborer, you will meet your team each morning and work with a small crew at residential and commercial job sites. You will: excavate for sewer and water lines; ensure safety in trenches or confined spaces; maintain essential equipment; use tools such as jackhammers and concrete saws; and handle materials like PVC and cast iron, while following safety and OSHA compliance procedures.

• Excavate for sewer and water lines
• Ensure safety in trenches or confined spaces
• Operate tools (jackhammers, concrete saws) and handle materials (PVC, ductile iron, cast iron)
• Follow strict safety and OSHA procedures

• 3+ years of sewer and water experience
• Valid driver's license
• Familiarity with shoring tools and maintaining safe job sites
• Knowledge of trade materials like PVC, ductile iron, and cast iron

• 7+ years of experience in sewer and water
• OSHA certification(s)
• CDL license
