Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. The role supports and oversees repair within Walmart facilities’ Refrigeration HVAC equipment team, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools to complete jobs.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 10 years of commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• 8 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience and an AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or a 2‑year associate’s in applied science A/C and refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
