Back End Developer

We are looking for a Back End Developer to join a collaborative technology team in Wheeling, Illinois. This role focuses on building and maintaining reliable server-side solutions that support business applications and improve overall system performance. Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain backend services that support web applications and internal platforms
• Develop efficient server-side logic and integrate application functionality with databases and external services
• Partner with front-end developers to ensure smooth communication between user interfaces and backend systems
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to support quality and consistency
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability across backend components and APIs
• Contribute to technical planning, documentation, and ongoing improvements to development practices
