240 Day Contract Beginning July 1, 2026
Functions & Duties- Primary responsibility for the accounts payable function, including preparation and processing of purchase orders; accruing, entering, and maintaining records of invoices and accounts payable checks; identifying and resolving discrepancies; ensuring compliance with state purchasing policies including collection and maintenance of vendor registration documentation.
- Primary responsibility for the purchasing card program.
- Primary responsibility for the purchasing function as assigned by the Treasurer and/or Superintendent including identifying areas of need, soliciting bids, quotes, etc.
- Overseeing school accounting including coordinating and managing the internal annual review of school financial records; collecting and reviewing monthly and annual financial reports; assisting school financial secretaries as needed.
- Preparing bank reconciliations as well as identifying and investigating discrepancies.
- Preparing state and federal reports including, but not limited to, the preparation of 1099s.
- Utilizing computer programs to accomplish tasks and improve office efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned by the Treasurer and/or Superintendent related to the finance department.
- Attending state meetings to obtain information regarding accounting procedures and changes.
- Maintaining accuracy for work performed, complying with and reviewing federal, state, county, and school laws/policies, and completing assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 24 semester hours of coursework in accounting required.
- Degree in accounting preferred.
- Certified public accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles preferred.
- Communication, organization, and time management skills required.
Must pass a background check; mandatory training sessions.
SalarySalary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
