Staff Accountant

Summary

The Staff Accountant supports the Finance department by performing a wide range of general accounting and financial reporting duties. This role is responsible for daily transactional activities—including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, inventory, and production reporting - as well as assisting with month-end close through the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

• General accounting duties including accounts payable, production reporting, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assists with period end close process including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assists with annual budget process.
• Involvement with periodic physical inventory counts.
• Assists with fixed asset and lease accounting.
• Performs routine data entry and supporting tasks for accounting staff
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and stressful situations.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Regularly sits, stands, walks, and moves throughout office and manufacturing environments. Frequently uses a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally bends, stoops, reaches and lifts up to 20 pounds.
• Qualification and Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or actively pursuing a relevant degree
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate
• Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments. Work Schedule / Availability

  This role primarily operates in an office setting with moderate exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures while on the plant floor.
• Salary Range
• $50,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
