Intern, Tax – Winter/Spring Busy Season 2027, Wheeling, WV | S.R. Snodgrass, P.C.

The Tone:

This is an internship at S.R. Snodgrass, P.C., located in Wheeling, WV. The firm is a reputable public accounting firm seeking to grow its tax team. This role offers hands-on experience in tax preparation and client work during the busy season. Interns will contribute to various client engagements, ranging from community banks to SEC-registrants, gaining valuable industry-specific knowledge and developing professional skills.

    Prepare a variety of tax returns and related financial reports for diverse clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance during the busy tax season.
What You’ll Actually Do
  • Work Paper Creation:
    Accurately prepare a variety of reports and work papers in accordance with the firm’s standard of quality.
  • Tax Document Processing:
    Prepare various types of tax returns as directed and efficiently address any review comments in a timely manner.
  • Financial Estimation:
    Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations for clients.
  • Client Engagement:
    Perform diverse client work for the tax group’s variety of clients, including corporations, partnerships, individuals, and financial institutions.
The Must-Haves
  • Background:
    Entry-Level. Candidates should be working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Experience:

    Internship to start during candidate’s junior or senior year of school; candidates completing their master’s program will also be considered. Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week (Monday through Friday) with a set schedule required. Occasional Saturdays may be needed beginning March 1st through the end of the internship (4-6 hours).
  • Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Bonus: GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
