Overview
Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Case Stream Project Support Assistant in the Wheeling office.
The Role: The Case Stream Project Support Assistant provides administrative and technical support to legal teams and Case Stream Project Assistants in the delivery of quality legal services. The role is responsible for assisting with the organization and maintenance of matter and transaction materials using established Case Stream processes, tools, and standards, and for supporting Case Stream’s departmental operations.
ResponsibilitiesAssist Case Stream Project Assistants and legal teams with the organization and maintenance of matter and transaction materials using established Case Stream processes and provide support on administrative and technical tasks related to Case Stream’s operations. Specific duties may include:
- Assist with organizing, naming, and coding matter materials in accordance with established Case Stream guidelines.
- Create and maintain folder structures for client and matter files using existing templates and instructions.
- Review scans of incoming mail and correctly file materials into appropriate matter folders.
- Circulate court filings and other documents to case teams as directed.
- Assist with maintaining virtual matter files, including pleadings folders and indices.
- Perform document preparation tasks such as PDF compilation, bookmarking, and basic hyperlinking.
- Enter and update basic case information into firm knowledge management systems as instructed.
- Provide administrative support to Project Assistants and legal teams to help maintain organized and complete matter files and support Case Stream operations.
- Escalate questions, issues, or discrepancies to the Program Manager or assigned Project Assistant.
- Maintain regular onsite (monthly) attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Candidates must demonstrate skill in the following areas:
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team environment.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and database systems.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Law Firm or Professional Services environment is preferred.
The expected salary range for this position is between $49,000 to $65,000.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography.
Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
