This position will provide advanced level administrative support and direction to the Senior leadership within the Bureau for Public Health’s Commissioner’s Office, which includes the State Health Officer/Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, General Counsel, and other staff. The role ensures the day-to-day operations of the office are effective and efficient, serves as organizational support and lead worker among clerical staff members, and develops and implements procedures and policies for the Commissioner’s Office and Bureau.
By ensuring directives and assignments placed upon the Bureau by State/Federal levels are fulfilled, the Executive Assistant serves as the point of contact for the Commissioner’s Office and handles a diversity of confidential and technical administrative tasks.
- Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Additional qualifying experience as described below may substitute for the required training on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Six years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience in administrative, professional, or technical capacity in the area of assignment.
- Graduate study in an area appropriate to assignment may substitute for the required experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
