The Supervisor, Land – Land Records, Restoration, & Permitting will coordinate and support the processing, storage, and retrieval of land‑related documents, ensuring data accuracy and integrity within the land records system; research and analyze land titles, identifying ownership, discrepancies, and collaborate with Legal; supervise land analysts and land clerks, and coordinate outside contract resources for Hope Gas and Hope Utilities companies in title investigation, and resolving land‑related permitting and restoration issues on gathering and major projects related to distribution, transmission, and gathering operations;
ensure acquisition of permits for pipeline crossings of roads and railroads, permits and bonds for construction projects, and permits for construction or operation of facilities. Reads and interprets maps, plats, and technical drawings; provide strong knowledge of land records management, land title, land acquisition processes in the natural gas sector within the coverage areas of Hope Gas and Hope Utilities;
and supports positive stakeholder relationships.
- Records Management. Maintain and support a comprehensive system of land records, including paper and electronic formats.
- Coordinate the processing, storage, and retrieval of land‑related documents such as leases, deeds, assignments, and title opinions.
- Apply established policies and procedures for efficient records management within Hope Gas and Hope Utilities and help ensure accuracy and integrity within the land records system.
- Research and analysis. Research and analyze land titles, identify ownership, surface and at times mineral interest and potential discrepancies. Utilize specialized land management software and property ownership sites as well as courthouse research of land records.
- Supervise and coordinate the implementation of permitting road, railroad, and other third‑party crossings for natural gas industry infrastructure projects, ensuring that permits align with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, legal teams, and external consultants to support timely restoration and permitting work that aligns with overall project timelines and budgets.
- Assist with resolving disputes and issues with landowners or local communities within the Hope Gas and Hope Utilities coverage area.
- Track project budgets related to land records, restoration, and permitting, and provide accurate updates and forecasts, and prepare regular reports for management on progress, challenges, and risks.
- Serve as a people leader, overseeing day‑to‑day activities, supports task execution within the team, applies established procedures, provides guidance to staff, and ensures work is completed efficiently and accurately.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members as they work to achieve performance goals through regular check‑ins, team meetings, skills coaching, and annual review input.
- Support department goals and objectives by coordinating team priorities and helping execute assigned work plans.
