This assignment is based at a VA Medical Center providing inpatient and outpatient nephrology services to a veteran patient population. The facility supports a comprehensive nephrology program, including hospital ward services, outpatient clinic operations, and dialysis management. Clinical operations are conducted on-site, with coverage structured across day shifts and call rotations.

West Virginia offers a range of outdoor pursuits, including whitewater rafting, rock climbing, hiking, and kayaking, with notable destinations such as the New River Gorge and Seneca Rocks. The state also features cultural attractions, live music venues, scenic railroads, and farm-based experiences suitable for various types of visitors. Water sports, aerial adventures, and multi-day excursions are available through outfitters and adventure programs across the region.

Clinicians will provide inpatient and outpatient nephrology coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with weeknight and weekend call responsibilities, including 24-hour call. Clinical duties encompass hospital ward inpatient nephrology services, outpatient clinic coverage, and dialysis oversight and management. Conditions managed include Chronic Kidney Disease, End Stage Renal Disease, Acute Kidney Injury, hypertension, kidney stones, and electrolyte disorders, as well as ongoing management of dialysis and kidney transplant patients.

The facility is seeking 2-3 clinicians to fill a full coverage schedule beginning November 1.
