• Employment Term: 200 Days

• WV Professional Teaching Certificate for the subject area at the 6-12 grade level.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
• Criminal Background check conducted pursuant to SCS BOE Policy IV-G-4.
• Drug Test conducted pursuant to SCS BOE Policy IV-H-1.

• Serve as the department representative on the school leadership team and attend leadership team meetings.
• Be the contact person for that department.
• Work with school and county leadership to coordinate department Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings.
• Schedule and attend all departmental PLC meetings.
• Lead in the collection and analysis of data.
• Assist PLC teams in the implementation of data‑driven classroom instruction.
• Ensure PLC meeting agendas are prepared and minutes recorded and submitted on time.
• Provide leadership in advancing district and school improvement initiatives.
• Provide reports as requested by the school and district administration.
• Complete required school and district‑level documentation.
• Provide coaching and support as requested by department teachers.
• Provide leadership in textbook selection during the assigned adoption cycle.
• Stay abreast of best teaching practices in the assigned content area.
