Job Description
  • Interpret menus and recipes
  • Prepare and serve summer meals
  • Handle duties of the point of service program
  • Maintain and/or upgrade skills
  • Perform any and all other job related duties as assigned by summer program and food service coordinator.
  • Must be willing to work at all schools in the county.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent; or successfully completing GED program
  • Pass state and county cook test and obtain food handler's card annually.
  • Must be an employee of Monroe County Schools
Salary

Daily Rate of Pay $128.70. Salary based on experience and education level per Monroe County BOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.

Effective Date
  • As needed for the Summer School program June 29, 2026, through July 31, 2026
  • There will be no summer school on July 3, 2026 in recognition of the holiday
