Based on the service personnel pay scale. - QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass the state competency test for aide
- Hold or qualify for aide certification according to WV Code
- Applicants with any unsatisfactory evaluations, interview performance, or unfavorable reference recommendations will not be considered eligible.
- Applicants not currently employed must meet additional requirements related to dismissal or contract non-renewal for cause.
- Ability to perform job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.

- Maintaining positive work habits.

- Plans and prioritizes daily activities.
- Respects confidentiality of information associated with schools and students.
- Utilizes basic methods and procedures prescribed for the instructional setting.
- Exhibits competence in the subject area(s) and record keeping for student programs.
- Displays a warm and receptive attitude toward children.
- Maintains a cooperative working relationship with principal, supervising teacher, students, parents, general staff, and the public.
- Works well with minimum supervision.
- Effectively performs duties assigned by the supervising teacher or principal.
- Operates and cares for equipment.
- Plans and carries out lessons to completion with teacher input.
- Controls students effectively.
- Shows competence in English usage and basic grammar.
- Motivates students in the instructional setting.
- Performs routine clerical duties such as filing, typing, or duplicating materials.
