* Kinder Boost/A Taste of Kindergarten positions will be offered based on student enrollment and available funding. Positions may be terminated if funding ends, or enrollment is insufficient.
Positions
1. Clay Elementary: 3 Positions
Three (3) teachers will work together to offer the Kinder Boost "A Taste of Kindergarten" program at Clay Elementary School.
Position Summary
Staff are responsible for coordinating and implementing a structured kindergarten transition/orientation program called "A Taste of Kindergarten". A training day, one day of preparation, and one day for delivering the program are required.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in training, planning, and preparation prior to the start of Kinder Boost/Taste of Kindergarten programming.
- Participate in all required Kinder Boost/Taste of Kindergarten training sessions as provided by Save the Children in-person and/or remotely via Web Ex.
- Actively recruit children and families to participate in Kinder Boost/Taste of Kindergarten.
- Manage the implementation of all aspects of the Kinder Boost/Taste of Kindergarten program.
- Guide and coordinate implementation of the Kinder Boost/Taste of Kindergarten program, ensuring compliance with established program model, trainings, and guidelines.
- Provide hands-on guidance and teaching to children during the program to support the development of Kindergarten readiness skills.
- Utilize suggested learning station materials and resources to implement learning station activities with all participating children.
- Support family engagement activities through the Family Informational Meeting and Workshop.
- Collect and submit program data (e.g., children's attendance, family surveys, etc.) to Save the Children.
- Facilitate additional programmatic activities to support children and families with the transition to Kindergarten, as needed.
- Maintain consistent communication with Save the Children Program Specialists; check email correspondence daily; provide follow up in a timely manner with required tasks.
Terms of Employment
8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. for the following dates at each location (includes one preparation day):
- June 18, 2026-Kinder Boost/Taste of Kindergarten Day
Qualifications
Teaching certification required. Preference will be given to current Kindergarten staff at each location.
