Wheeling University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor position in the MBA program within the Department of Business, beginning August 2026. We seek a dedicated educator who is passionate about teaching and committed to supporting the University’s mission. The successful candidate will teach graduate‑level MBA courses in a fully in‑person format.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned in‑person courses following approved curriculum
- Prepare and share course syllabi and materials
- Lead engaging classroom instruction and activities
- Take attendance and maintain a positive classroom environment
- Hold on‑campus office hours to support students
- Provide timely feedback and grading
- Refer students to campus resources as needed
- Keep accurate grade records and submit grades on time
- Uphold academic integrity standards
- Attend required meetings and trainings
- Follow institutional policies and procedures
Communicate with department leadership as needed - Stay current in subject area and teaching practices
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Business or a related discipline is required.
- Prior college‑level teaching experience
- Relevant professional experience in the field
- Basic proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems (i.e. Canvas
)
- Current curriculum vitae
- List of courses taught, including dates and institutions
- Transcripts from all degree‑granting institutions (official copies required upon hiring)
- Contact information for three (3) professional references (references will not be contacted without prior notification)
