Applicant should possess WV certification in the areas of special education / multi-categorical with autism. In addition to appropriate certification and/or licensure, criteria to be used is contained in 18A-4-7a of WV Code. Preference for currently employed PCS special education certified teachers.
AssignmentPosition and schedule contingent upon student attendance/ participation / need. To work with eligible secondary/school-age student(s) in an extended year program. The goal of the program is to implement transition and academic instruction and instruction with self-help skills as stated in the IEP for individual student(s) as directed by the Director of Special Education.
SalaryHourly rate of pay is $25.00 an hour not to exceed 8 hours per week for a maximum of 5 weeks (40 hours total) starting at the end of the 25/26 school year through July.
Additional planning time shall be provided as needed and approved by the Director of Special Education.
Holidays are not instructional or compensated days.
Term of EmploymentJune-July, 2026 up to 5 weeks
