Upper School Calculus & Mathematics Teacher

The Linsly School seeks a dynamic, full-time Upper School Calculus & Mathematics Teacher for the  Academic Year.

The Mathematics Department seeks teachers who will strengthen our community by upholding our high academic standards and traditional values while bringing energy, creativity, and innovative teaching methods to our classrooms.

• Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field (an Advanced degree is preferred).
• Have a strong academic background in advanced mathematics, with deep conceptual mastery of single-variable and multivariable calculus (limits, derivatives, integrals, and series).
• Have previous experience in a high school math classroom, as a teacher or teaching assistant.
• Possess a passion for teaching and a desire to create dynamic and challenging learning experiences that engage and inspire our students.

• Teach 5 sections of high school Mathematics courses, including AP Calculus AB & BC.
• Be a productive member of the Mathematics department by attending meetings, updating course curricula, seeking professional development opportunities, and supporting the goals of the department.
• Actively align course syllabi and pacing with the College Board AP Calculus course and exam, ensuring class lessons and assessments mirror AP-level rigor.
• Serve as an advisor to a small group of students, overseeing their academic and social growth.
• Connect with students outside of the classroom through extracurricular activities.
