• WV Professional Teaching Certificate in General Science 5-9 or 5-Adult
• Proficient in written and verbal communications
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with staff and community
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with school administrators, school personnel, and parents
• Demonstrates organization and management skills
• Ability to implement Science College and Career Ready standards and deliver the curriculum
• Demonstrates ability to work within the school Mission and Core Beliefs

• Design and implement appropriate instruction for 7th and 8th grade science
• Design and implement a 5-6 grade STEM program through co‑teaching
• Maintain accurate records and provide necessary information on student progress
• Implement and design instruction based on WV Standards
• Analyze data and develop individualized instruction for personalized learning
• Work cooperatively in grade level and cross‑curricular teams
• Implement programs and use instructional technology and resources such as Smart Boards, iPads, virtual classroom tools, and instructional resources
• Demonstrate adequate planning and management techniques
• Maintain information and resources for effective instructional practices
• Participate in professional growth activities
• Perform other duties as assigned and as necessary for effective program coordination and implementation

Salary: Wirt County Salary Scale for teachers based on degree and years' experience
