Our Lady’s Catholic High School is a highly successful oversubscribed 11–16 mixed High School of 900 pupils serving mainly the Catholic community in the north of Preston. The Lay Chaplain will provide witness to the Gospel by sharing in the joys, hopes, and the sorrows of the school community and will always remind our school community of its Christian purpose. The Lay Chaplain will be expected to support the faith life of our Catholic pupils, encouraging faith development, and support pupils of other faiths.

• Support the pastoral and spiritual needs of staff and pupils.
• Share in the joys, hopes, and sorrows of school community members.
• Encourage faith development in Catholic pupils and provide support to pupils of other faiths.
• Serve as a witness to the Gospel and remind the community of its Christian purpose.

• Practising Catholic with a strong personal faith.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
• Ability to serve the pastoral and spiritual needs of the school community.

The position is part‑time, term time only. The salary quoted is full time equivalent and will be paid on a pro‑rata basis.
