Wheeling University invites applications for a full-time twelve-month position as the Clinical Education Coordinator in the Master of Science of Athletic Training Program.
Responsibilities- Didactic instruction to students in the MSAT program, assisting in processes for accreditation, and serving as the Clinical Education Coordinator.
- Preparation of course syllabi, materials, and assignment of grades.
- Establishing and maintaining affiliation agreements for clinical partners.
- Securing student placement and overseeing students in Clinical Education experiences.
- Additional faculty responsibilities include recruiting and advising students, committee participation, course and program assessment, and research.
- BOC certification in good standing and eligible for West Virginia State Licensure is required.
- A Master of Science of Athletic Training, a Master of Science in a related field, or a Doctorate in a related field is required.
- Demonstrated record of leadership within an accredited program and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and faculty.
- Minimum of three years of clinical Athletic Training practice/experience/supervision of Certified Athletic Trainers and/or students is preferred.
- Previous academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the postsecondary level is preferred.
