Middle School Golf Coach

LOCATION:

Countywide

EMPLOYMENT TERM:  School year, season varies including flex days

BID PERIOD:
June 25 to July 1, 2026 (3:00 pm)

• Organize and carry out an athletic program that will promote team and school pride
• Accept the responsibility for the welfare of the students under his/her supervision
• Attempt to integrate the athletic program with the total school program
• Promote positive public relations in regard to the school's athletic program
• Abide by the league, county, state, and federal rules and regulations
• Accept responsibility for the behavior and welfare of his/her team before and after practice or a contest
• Work in conjunction and coordination with athletic programs at other school levels
• Accept responsibility for the retention and care of equipment
• Provide leadership and support in his/her area of responsibility
• Maintain professional work habits
• Accept the responsibility of and help maintain professional behavior of all assistant coaches
• Maintain and upgrade his/her professional skills
• Perform all other duties as assigned by principal or athletic director

• Certified as a teacher (or substitute) in the State of WV or completed the National Federal Interscholastic Coaches Education Program endorsed by the WVSSAC and the State Board of Education, and received a coaching authorization issued by the WV Department of Education
• Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain it
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fully credentialed professionals or substitutes, or holders of a valid WVDE coaching certification before participating in any coaching duties
• Coaching duties must not interfere with other contracted duties; must be available for practice and game times as determined by the principal
• Proof of CPR/AED training required for board approval

SALARY:
Salary to be determined by salary classification level, experience, and education according to schedule at (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Coaches new to MCS must prove their past coaching experience through verification of employment forms sent from previous employers to our payroll department.
