Salary based on experience and the attached salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
Qualifications and Requirements- Must pass the Service Personnel Competency Test for "Aide".
- Personnel who do not possess the minimum requirements for the Aide VI permanent authorization but are enrolled in and pursuing requirements for a behavioral support assistant teacher will be classified as "temporary authorization" – supervisory and paid on an "F" pay grade.
- Personnel who have completed the requirements and experience for a behavioral support assistant teacher will be classified as "permanent authorization" – supervisory and paid on an "G" pay grade.
- Required courses will be offered by the West Virginia Department of Education and will be administered similar to ECCAT courses.
- Personnel will have three (3) years to complete the required courses.
