Immediate Supervisor:
Assigned Teacher/Principal
Employment Term: 200 day contract beginning 1st day of the 2026/2027 school year
Salary:
Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. Salary schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass or Passed state examination for aide or already attained aide status with a school system
- Ability to understand and respond to the needs of children
- Use oral and written English fluently
- Interpret and follow instructions
- Relate well with school personnel, parents, and the community
- Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and patience
- Display a positive outlook toward the program and its students
- Ability to perform health‑related duties for special needs students
- Pass background/fingerprinting check
- Valid first aid and CPR cards
- Good communication skills, above‑average vocabulary, grammar, spelling, and mathematical skills
- Complete the required state and county training that is required for the position
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
