Beginning Teacher Mentor

Position Summary

Beginning Teacher Mentor – Contract/Hourly Employment – Countywide, Hardy County, WV – 2026‑2027 school year.

Mentor new teachers county-wide.

• WV Professional Teaching Certificate
• Master’s Degree in an education field required
• Minimum of 10 years successful teaching/administrative experience
• Complete all required county and WVDE trainings
• The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations

• Applicants who have recent unsatisfactory evaluations will not be eligible for consideration.
• Applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are not eligible for consideration.
• Applicants who receive unfavorable reference recommendations are not eligible for consideration.
• Applicants who have been dismissed or whose contracts have not been renewed for cause are not eligible for consideration.

Salary: $30 per hour, not to exceed 750 hours, funded through mentor grant funds.

2026‑2027 School Year only.
