    July 30, 9:00‑10:00 am (Teams)
  • All positions contingent upon enrollment
  • Seniority based on summer school teaching experience only
Salary and Evaluation

Salary:
In accordance with the Hancock County Schools salary schedule for professionals, commensurate with experience and degree level.

Evaluation:
Performance evaluated annually by the Superintendent or designee, in accordance with WV State Code § l SA‑2‑12, State Board Policy 5310.

Qualifications
  • Hold a current WVDE Teaching Certification in Elementary Education
  • Must hold a valid certificate for the particular position in the State Department of Education for West Virginia
Responsibilities
  • Provide attention needed to each student to achieve the highest possible potential
  • Record achievement under policy set by school administration; report fairly and accurately
  • Act in a professional manner with superiors, co‑workers, parents, and students
  • Complete required reporting to immediate supervisor
  • Assist with supervisions such as hall duty, bus duty, lunch duty, and other operations as determined by principal
  • Execute other obligations determined by principal
  • Implement program of study
  • Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning
  • Utilize instructional management systems enhancing student learning and maximizing time on task
  • Monitor and report student progress toward learning outcomes
  • Maintain and upgrade professional skills and teaching techniques
  • Promote and maintain positive pupil‑teacher‑parent relationships
  • Maintain professional work habits, attitudes, and appearance
  • Incorporate differentiated instruction
  • Co‑teach when applicable
  • Implement Multi‑Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
  • Integrate technology in classroom
