CLASSROOM TEACHER
Supervisor:
School Principal

• Instruct students in subject matter utilizing various teaching methods, such as lecture and demonstration, with audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentation.
• Implementing his/her program of study.
• Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning.
• Utilize instructional management system to increase student learning and maximize time on task.
• Monitor student progress toward learning outcomes.
• Maintain and upgrade professional skills.
• Promote and maintain positive pupil–teacher–parent relations.
• Maintain professional work habits.
• Participate in faculty and professional meetings.
• Attend educational conferences and teacher workshops.
• Perform related duties such as sponsoring one or more special activities or student organizations.
• Organizational Relationships:
  Is accountable to the principal for performance of assigned duties; relate role to building and system-wide programs and objectives; coordinate work with members of their department.
• Performance Standards:
  In-class behavior and out-of-class behavior indicators of achieving objectives and effective cooperation.

• Graduate of a four-year college
• Function effectively as a member of an instructional team.
• Maintain strong commitment to the subject matter that they teach.
• Works effectively with the community.
• Has ability to adapt to differences and changes in pupil characteristics.
