CLASSROOM TEACHER
Supervisor:
School Principal
- Instruct students in subject matter utilizing various teaching methods, such as lecture and demonstration, with audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentation.
- Implementing his/her program of study.
- Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning.
- Utilize instructional management system to increase student learning and maximize time on task.
- Monitor student progress toward learning outcomes.
- Maintain and upgrade professional skills.
- Promote and maintain positive pupil–teacher–parent relations.
- Maintain professional work habits.
- Participate in faculty and professional meetings.
- Attend educational conferences and teacher workshops.
- Perform related duties such as sponsoring one or more special activities or student organizations.
- Organizational Relationships:
Is accountable to the principal for performance of assigned duties; relate role to building and system-wide programs and objectives; coordinate work with members of their department. - Performance Standards:
In-class behavior and out-of-class behavior indicators of achieving objectives and effective cooperation.
- Graduate of a four-year college
- Function effectively as a member of an instructional team.
- Maintain strong commitment to the subject matter that they teach.
- Works effectively with the community.
- Has ability to adapt to differences and changes in pupil characteristics.
