Position: Pre-K Teacher/On site Supervisor-Ceredo-Kenova HS-PKTOSS-CK-071526

Pay Details

  • Level I: B.A. or R.B.A. Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, or related area. Must hold or obtain current WV teaching license for PK‑PK, or WV authorization for community programs, supervisory experience. $17.91/hour + County Contract Supplement
  • Level II: B.A. or R.B.A. Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, or related area. Must hold or obtain current WV teaching license for PK‑PK, or WV authorization for community programs, supervisory experience plus one year experience. $19.65/hour + County Contract Supplement
  • Level III: M.A. Degree in Early Childhood or related area. Must hold or obtain current WV teaching license for PK‑PK, or WV authorization for community programs, supervisory experience. $21.53/hour + County Contract Supplement
Qualifications
  • B.A. Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, or related area. Must hold or obtain current WV teaching license for PK‑PK, or WV authorization for community programs, supervisory experience.
  • Know early childhood development and preschool curriculum planning.
  • Assess children’s strengths, needs, interests, and progress.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Understand and relate to low‑income families.
  • Valid Driver’s License with safe driving record or State issued .
  • Must pass required background and drug screening.
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete child assessments within 30 days of enrollment and maintain required records.
  • Develop weekly lesson plans based on children’s needs, interests, learning styles, goals, and IEPs.
  • Use positive guidance to support confidence, self‑esteem, and behavior.
  • Promote diversity through classroom tools and activities.
  • Conduct home visits and parent‑teacher conferences.
  • Share child development information and support learning activities at home.
  • Encourage family engagement, school readiness, and volunteer participation.
  • Plan transition activities for Head Start/Early Head Start children and families.
  • Coordinate daily center education activities and education plan implementation.
  • Monitor classroom/enter files and ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire standards.
  • Ensure child safety indoors and outdoors.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
