The Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty to support the Davis College's academic School of Natural Resources and the Environment. Appointments are on a semester-by-semester basis with varying instructional needs depending on course enrollments and faculty availability. Review of applications occurs on an as-needed basis. Qualified candidates may be contacted at any time when an opportunity becomes available.

The College's mission is rooted in the land-grant tradition—preparing students for impactful careers, advancing knowledge through research and innovation, and serving the people of West Virginia and beyond. The School of Natural Resources and the Environment includes the following academic programs:
1) Environmental, Energy and Land Management;
2) Environmental, Soil and Water Sciences;
3) Forest Resources and Conservation;
4) Wildlife and Fisheries Resources.

Qualifications :
  • A graduate degree relevant to the course(s) taught is required at the time of appointment; a doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and teach undergraduate and/or graduate students.
  • Experience with student-centered instruction, inclusive pedagogy, and/or experiential learning approaches is desirable.
  • Professional experience in applied settings relevant to the course(s) taught is preferred.
