Submittal Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Preparation of AutoCAD shop drawings and submittal packages within a fast-paced environment.

* Review of construction drawings and specifications with Estimators and Project Mangers.

* Perform analytical problem-solving through various construction issues and detailing conflicts.

* Coordinate, communicate, and implement construction revisions.

* Communicate with the Technical Services Department of our vendor partners.

* Assist in the professional development and training of co-workers.

* Prepare construction submittals for various building envelope systems, particularly roofing and architectural metal panel/other cladding systems.

* Manage multiple responsibilities and tasks and understand building construction documents and division of trades.

* All other related duties.

Qualifications:

* At least 2 years of recent experience with AutoCAD/drafting

* Knowledge of manufacturing and construction processes

* Ability to read and understand blueprints

* Technical knowledge of or familiarity with architectural construction detailing and manufacturer fabrication drawings

* Ability to effectively communicate with management and peers in a team building environment

* Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

* Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
