The program director/instructor of respiratory therapy, under general supervision, will develop and implement a new program of study. This work includes assembling a committee to determine feasibility, preparing CoARC (accreditation) letters and reports, creating the curriculum, purchasing program equipment and supplies, making clinical connections, and hiring program personnel.
Upon successfully establishing the program, the incumbent will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction in the Respiratory Therapy program. Responsibilities also include developing program syllabi, goals, and objectives, evaluating students' progress, maintaining program certification requirements, preparing documentation and reports, attending staff development activities, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating with students and staff. The position reports to the Vice President for Learning.

- Bachelor’s degree in any field required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ teaching experience in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor.
Required - Minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, including at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care.

- Complete the CoARC Key Personnel Training Program.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to collect and analyze data.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of spreadsheets and other relevant software.
