- Behavioral Specialist Assistant do?

As a Full-Time Direct Care
- Behavioral Specialist Assistant at Russell Nesbitt Services Inc., you will provide essential direct care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your role will encompass a variety of vital tasks, including basic housekeeping to maintain a comfortable living environment, meal preparation to ensure clients receive nutritious and satisfying meals, and assistance with personal care activities such as toileting and showering.

Additionally, you will help with transportation needs and actively support clients during all scheduled activities, fostering a sense of independence and engagement. What does a Direct Care – Day Treatment Specialist do?

Maintains the facility in an orderly and safe condition. Implements by "hands on" programs and activities as deemed priority goals by the interdisciplinary team. Attends clients as assigned, training sessions and client recreation and social activities. Shows knowledge of company policies and procedures. Attend resident team meetings and other staff meetings as assigned. Observes and responds to signs of illness, injury, and ill effects of medication.

Interact frequently and positively with residents using appropriate role modeling, encouraging proper conduct, manners, and appearance. Documents program training information and other related documents correctly. Follows and implements behavior management procedures and plans. Implement programs and activities as deemed priority goals by the interdisciplinary team. Other duties as assigned.

What does a Direct Care – WORKSHOP Specialist do?

Implement programs and activities as deemed priority goals by the interdisciplinary team. Follows and implements behavior management procedures and plans. Documents program training information and other related documents correctly. Interact frequently and positively with residents using appropriate role modeling, encouraging proper conduct, manners, and appearance. Observes and responds to signs of illness, injury, and ill effects of medication. Provide transportation services utilizing all vehicles located at the facility including the transportation of clients to and from work.

Follows and implements behavior management procedures and plans. Implement programs and activities as deemed priority goals by the interdisciplinary team. Maintains the facility in an orderly and safe condition. Shows knowledge of company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and criminal background check.
