Medical Billing Specialist

• Ensure payment of medical claims using appropriate coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD-10.
• Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy in billing and coding processes.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility as needed.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards related to medical billing and coding practices.

• Prior experience in medical billing
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Understanding of insurance billing processes
• Self-starter who can work independently on assigned duties
