Housekeeper, Hospitality ​/ Hotel ​/ Catering

Nature of Work Parks and Recreation/Blackwater Falls State Park Under general supervision, performs housekeeping work inside of Blackwater Lodge at Blackwater Falls State Park. This position's primary duties include assisting in the housekeeping of the entire lodge including all 51 lodge rooms, bathrooms, conference areas, and other public areas. Assigned areas could include assisting in the cleaning of cabins, campground, and other public areas and bathrooms if needed.

To complete duties, at times, it could require assisting with snow/ice removal from walkways and stairwells. This position will act as a lead worker in the lodge housekeeping department when the lodge housekeeping supervisor is not present. Duties include but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, gathering garbage, cleaning public restrooms, preparing guest rooms for check-in, including making beds and exchanging linens, sorting and folding linens, and completing room service for guests as requested.

Ability to read at an eighth grade level and understand occupancy documents and assignments. Must be capable of lifting, stooping, reaching up, climbing ladders, and safely handling appropriate cleaning supplies. May also assist in schedule making as needed and dividing room assignments as needed. A current driver's license is required. Regular attendance is required as scheduled. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Training:
Ability to pass a written test at the eighth grade level.
