Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary IT Applications Database Intern in our Global Operations & Innovation Center in Wheeling, WV
.

Please Note:

This is a hybrid role requiring regular onsite work in Wheeling, WV. Candidates must be within commutable distance or willing to relocate at their own expense. Remote‑only arrangements are not available for this position.

Our internship will provide you with training and resources, challenging opportunities and real technical projects to grow your professional and technical talent:

• Assist the technical support of software applications
• Testing, documenting and trouble‑shouting applications, and imaging desktops
• Support in modifying and trouble‑shouting the desktop imaging process for Windows and Mac machines with a focus on Macs.
• Assisting in the creation of software packages using tools such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager/Endpoint Configuration Manager
• Support in maintaining SQL Server databases by running basic queries, reviewing data for accuracy, and assisting with routine database‑related tasks
• Communicating and collaborating with customers and teams across the firm
• Coordinating special applications projects and initiatives

• Proficient with desktop operating systems including current Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office
• Understanding of networking concepts, database concepts (SQL Server) and basic scripting and/or programming
• Cloud based (SaaS) understanding and support
• Use of AI Tools and prompt writing
• Low code/no code solutions like Microsoft Power Automate/Power Apps
• Good writing and analytical skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and multitask priorities
• Approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation
• Willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment
• Student in an information technology or related associate’s or bachelor’s degree program

The expected salary range for this position is between $18.00 hour and $20.00 hour.

This is a short‑term, temporary position. Our temporary team members are eligible for paid sick leave where required by location.
