Please Note:
This is an entry-level position.
- Create as well as modify applications as part of a team.
- Entry level object-oriented programming in C#, WPF, ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
- May work with users to gather information for both new systems and current system modification, documentation, analysis, and coding.
- Will utilize Microsoft Team Foundation server as a code repository and to push changes to test and production.
- Will be responsible for working with outside entities, such as the Treasurer’s Office, WV Offices of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) TPAs, and other third parties to develop solutions to OIC systems and data management needs.
- May monitor scheduled jobs, assist with user training, and system documentation.
- Ability to work well and communicate with others is essential.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- C#, WPF, stored procedures (Oracle and SQL), working knowledge of ASP.NET, analysis skills, programming certifications in web and/or object-oriented programming is desired but not necessary.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or related field including but not limited to business data programming, business systems analysis, computer accounting, computer and information systems, computer servicing technologies, information systems management, data processing, or computer engineering.
ORAn Associate's degree from an accredited college, university or business school in computer science or related field including but not limited to business data programming, business systems analysis, computer accounting, computer and information systems, computer servicing technologies, information systems management, data processing, or computer engineering and eighteen months of full-time or equivalent part-time paid computer programming experience in one or more programming or data base languages.
Substitution:Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid computer programming experience in one or more programming or data base languages may substitute for the required training.
