Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary IT Applications Database Intern in our Global Operations & Innovation Center in Wheeling, WV.
Please Note:
This is a hybrid role requiring regular onsite work in Wheeling, WV. Candidates must be within commutable distance or willing to relocate at their own expense. Remote-only arrangements are not available for this position.
Our internship will provide you with training and resources, challenging opportunities and real technical projects to grow your professional and technical talent:
- Assist the technical support of software applications
- Testing, documenting and trouble-shooting applications, and imaging desktops
- Support in modifying and trouble-shooting the desktop imaging process for Windows and Mac machines with a focus on Macs.
- Assisting in the creation of software packages using tools such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager/Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Support in maintaining SQL Server databases by running basic queries, reviewing data for accuracy, and assisting with routine database-related tasks
- Communicating and collaborating with customers and teams across the firm
- Coordinating special applications projects and initiatives
- Proficient with desktop operating systems including current Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of networking concepts, database concepts (SQL Server) and basic scripting and/or programming
- Cloud based (SaaS) understanding and support
- Use of AI Tools and prompt writing
- Low code/no code solutions like Microsoft Power Automate/Power Apps
- Good writing and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and multitask priorities
- Approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation
- Willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment
- Student in an information technology or related associate’s or bachelor’s degree program

The expected salary range for this position is between $18.00 hour and $20.00 hour.
- This is a short-term, temporary position.
