Job DescriptionA WVEIS Coordinator is responsible for managing the West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS) and related technology infrastructure to support district operations, compliance, and communication.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, implement, manage, and maintain the WVEIS platform, including daily/weekly reporting submittals, data rostering, and ensuring accurate, valid data in reports and forms; provide phone, email, remote, and on-site technical assistance for schools, including troubleshooting networks, servers, workstations, peripherals, and software; assist in creating and running SQL queries, printing or generating reports, and correcting WVEIS data errors; manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings;
implement and maintain security policies; train school personnel on WVEIS updates, features, and processes; develop instructional materials for WVEIS changes; oversee district websites, ensuring they are functional, secure, and aligned with district branding and compliance requirements; work closely with school, district, state, and vendor personnel to ensure smooth technology operations.
Bachelor's degree in an education related field; must be a current employee; this position cannot interfere with employee's full-time job responsibilities; knowledge of WVEIS structure and reporting, LAN/WAN operations, database queries, and basic hardware/software troubleshooting; experience in microcomputer operations, especially rBM AS/400; strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
RequirementsMust pass a background check; mandatory training sessions.
Salary$2,000 per year
