Stateline Café & More LLC is seeking a motivated and professional Management Trainee to participate in a structured 30-day leadership development program. This role is designed to prepare qualified candidates to assume management responsibilities at one of our retail and food service locations upon successful completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior leadership experience—or relevant education and transferable skills—who are looking to advance into a management role in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Position OverviewThe Management Trainee will receive hands-on training in all aspects of store operations, team leadership, and financial oversight. Trainees will work directly with experienced managers and company leadership to develop the skills necessary to independently operate a location.
30-Day Training ProgramOperational Foundations
- Introduction to company policies, procedures, and expectations
- Training on point-of-sale systems and daily store operations
- Customer service standards and workflow execution
- Shadowing team members across multiple shifts
Cash Handling & Compliance
- Cash management, drawer reconciliation, and deposit procedures
- Inventory processes and vendor coordination
- Compliance with company policies, safety standards, and
- Assisting with shift-level operational responsibilities
Leadership Development
- Supervising team members and supporting daily operations
- Introduction to scheduling and labor management
- Handling customer concerns and conflict resolution
- Leading portions of shifts under supervision
Independent Operations
- Managing shift operations with minimal oversight
- Completing end-of-day reporting and financial reconciliation
- Demonstrating leadership, accountability, and operational efficiency
- Final evaluation for placement into a management role
- Oversee and support daily store operations
- Lead, coach, and develop team members
- Maintain accurate cash handling and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Deliver high-quality customer service and resolve issues effectively
- Assist with inventory management and product availability
- Prior management, supervisory, or leadership experience preferred, or
- A degree or coursework in business, management, or a related field, or
- Demonstrated transferable experience in roles requiring leadership, accountability, customer service, or operational responsibility
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and accountability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
