Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Address: 1 West Alexander Road, Valley Grove, WV 26060
- Forecast goals and objectives for the department and work daily to achieve them.
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor performance of all parts department staff.
- Develop training and succession plans in collaboration with the Vice President of Fixed Operations and General Manager.
- Prepare and administer the annual operating budget for the department.
- Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
- Attend manager’s meetings and maintain industry knowledge.
- Hold monthly department meetings to communicate updates, new opportunities, and procedure changes.
- Provide technical assistance and monitor payroll records for department employees.
- Coordinate workflow, paperwork, and timely processing of shipments and orders.
- Enforce customer service processes to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, enforcing OSHA and safety policies.
- Manage inventory levels, returns, special orders, and stock procedures.
- Collaborate with Service and Body Shop managers to ensure timely internal parts availability.
- Direct outside parts and counter sales efforts, including telemarketing programs.
- Conduct in-person customer visits and develop sales promotions.
- Handle customer complaints and assist with collections on past‑due accounts.
- Perform quarterly dirty core inventory and analyze departmental operations for maximum effectiveness.
- Conduct health and safety training and inspect facilities, operations, and equipment for compliance.
- Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four‑year College or University; 4–6 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Language
Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, technical procedures, and regulations; ability to write reports and correspondence; strong presentation skills. - Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions. - Certificates & Licenses:
Valid driver’s license, must meet company insurability standards. ASE Certifications and Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification preferred. - Physical Requirements:
Regular standing and walking; frequent reaching; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs , occasionally up to 100 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
