Job Description
Shift: Day Shift
Pay: Starting at $16/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Associate to join our team in St Marys, WV. In this role, you will be responsible for using grinding equipment on scrap material and supporting our recycling operations to ensure efficient material processing and waste reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Safety is your #1 priority while on the premises and follow all safety rules, guidelines, and procedures while performing all job tasks
- Sort window plant cutoffs by color, inspecting for non-grindable contaminants
- Assist with preventative maintenance of grinding equipment
- Operate fork truck as needed
- Operate pallet jack as needed
- Load and unload scrap trailers
- Maintain inventory systems accuracy (including basic math and data entry)
- Adhere to all Sim Ex Housekeeping standards
- Be a contributing member of your crew
- Assist other Sim Ex departments when needed
- Complete any other tasks assigned by your Supervisor
Shift is currently Mon‑Fri 6a – 2:30p, this is subject to change and could become a 2‑2‑3 schedule working 12 hour shifts.
Qualifications- Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to stand on concrete flooring for up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl if necessary
- Ability to reach with hands and arms repetitively
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
