ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour day/night rotating shifts, including weekends as scheduled.

The Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) is a 30-bed unit, comprising of 14 private and 16 semi-private rooms. The unit primarily manages patients with conditions such as chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, and those requiring care before and after catheterization procedures.

• Provide care for patients including monitoring vital signs and administering medications
• Manage and interpret telemetry strips, including the titration of drips such as Amiodarone and Cardizem
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including hospitalists and intensivists
• Participate in self-scheduling while ensuring unit needs are met
• Provide leadership as a charge nurse while handling a full patient assignment
• Support nurse aides, typically 2-3 CNA assignments, ensuring proper patient ratios are maintained
• Float between Telemetry and Med Surg units as needed

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification are required
• Must have a valid nursing license
• Experience in an intermediate care or telemetry setting preferred
