Experienced RN required for Med/Surg unit (30‑bed). Rotating day/night shifts. Seek candidates comfortable with a 1:6–7 patient ratio, telemetry presence, and moderate acuity cases (CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI, post‑surgical).

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting (30‑bed unit)
• Common diagnoses: CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI, post‑surgical (appendectomy, cholecystectomy)
• Patient ratio of 1:6‑7; must be comfortable with up to 1:7
• Telemetry present; monitored remotely by techs
• Intermittent BiPAP used; no ventilators on unit
• Heparin drip titration based on aPTT required
• RNs supported by PCTs; one charge RN oversees floor assignments
• 12‑hour day/night rotating shifts
• Scheduling via Qgenda
• Weekends scheduled, typically every other weekend
• No on‑call or standby requirement
• Travelers floated first based on census needs
• Epic EMR used
• 13‑week contract

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• BSN not required
• Comfortable with 1:6‑7 patient ratios, up to 1:7
• Driver's license copy required
• Any licensing issues must be disclosed

• Candidates must reside >50 miles from facility
• Travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have a 2‑year break before reapplying
• Travelers may not work within WVU system >1 cumulative year without a 2‑year break
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 2 references required: 1 supervisor, 1 peer/extra supervisor; if permanent position in last 12 months, supervisor reference must be from that facility
• Skills checklist completed within past year required
