Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Wheeling, WV

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:7
• Manage and care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI, and post-surgical conditions
• Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results as required
• Monitor and manage patients on intermittent BiPAP; no ventilator management required
• Collaborate with PCTs and monitor technicians who provide remote telemetry monitoring
• Float to other units as needed based on census, per facility floating policy

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — any licensing history must be disclosed at time of submission
• Current BLS certification (must be unexpired)
• Current NIHSS certification (must be unexpired)
• Comfort with nurse-to-patient ratios up to 1:7
• Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays as assigned (approximately every other weekend)
• Must meet facility radius compliance requirements — valid, unexpired driver's license required at submission

• Prior experience with telemetry monitoring in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with Qgenda scheduling platform
• Experience caring for patients requiring intermittent BiPAP therapy

• Work alongside a supportive team that includes a dedicated charge RN, PCTs, and remote monitor technicians
• No on-call or standby requirements, offering greater schedule predictability
