Travel Med Surg RN – 13 Week Contract | Pennsylvania | 52-Bed Unit

Join a busy 52-bed Medical Surgical unit caring for a wide variety of post-operative and medical patients. This assignment is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs who enjoy a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations.

• 13-week travel contract
• 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Schedule created every 6 weeks
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation as needed

• 52 private rooms
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6-7
• Sunrise EMR
• 24/7 Hospitalist, Intensivist, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, and IV Team
• General hospital orientation plus 2 full unit orientation shifts

• Orthopedic post-op patients
• Spine surgeries (laminectomy, discectomy, spinal fusion)
• General surgery patients
• COPD
• Chest pain
• Pneumonia
• Cellulitis
• Infections
• Hemodialysis patients
• Occasional COVID rule-out patients

• Active RN license
• BLS required
• NIHSS required
• ACLS preferred
• Strong Medical Surgical experience
• Peritoneal dialysis experience highly preferred

• Experience managing Heparin infusions
• PCA pumps
• High-flow oxygen, CPAP, and intermittent BiPAP patients
• Telemetry experience is a plus
