Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for medical-surgical patients in a dynamic clinical setting. The RN will coordinate patient treatment, monitor conditions, and collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care for individuals with conditions such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, and urosepsis.
• Perform clinical assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications including titrating drips like heparin based on APTT results.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient status accurately and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Float as needed based on census, assisting in various units and maintaining flexibility for scheduling needs.
• Maintain proficiency with RT equipment and monitor telehealth feeds remotely via monitor tech team.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unexpired RN license in the appropriate state.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience managing a diverse patient population with complex diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, and pneumonia.
• Ability to perform patient assessments and titrate medications accurately.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Willingness to float and adapt to unit needs, including holiday and weekend shifts.
